On behalf of Maryland’s long-term and post-acute care pro­vider community, the Health Facilities Association of Maryland (HFAM) and the Maryland Center for Assisted Living (MCAL) are pleased to offer the opportunity to submit an educa­tional program to be considered for the 2021 HFAM/MCAL Conference.  TOGETHER, WE re:imagine!

The TOGETHER, WE re:imagine conference will be the place to connect, share, learn, and discuss actionable insights on the challenges and opportunities facing our sector.

Proposed sessions should help providers shape the future of long-term and post-acute care by:  identifying and encouraging change, and advocating for quality.  Presenters and content should consider a lens of diversity, inclusion, and equity when appropriate for the subject.  Proposals should promote a wide range of services offered to multi-generational, multi-cultural, and multi-functional individuals.

Submission Policies and Criteria
Submissions are to be complete, clearly focused, and organized.

Proposals are for one-hour sessions.  If you wish to submit for a two-hour program, please submit as Part 1 and Part 2.

The level of content is to be submitted for:

  • Inform and educate attendees on the why and the what of the subject matter
  • Enhances knowledge of the subject by demonstrating the how to implement

The inclusion of “take-away” information is considered an important component of the presentation.

Submission Deadline for CFP is May 15, 2021

If you would like your program to be considered for a pre-conference opportunity, please submit by March 30.

Expenses/Honoraria
HFAM/MCAL has earned a reputation of providing high quality education programs at our conferences.  We select presenters who share their expertise for the overall benefit of the healthcare community.

In our effort to keep registration fees affordable, HFAM generally does not pay, honoraria, per diems, travel or other costs incurred by presenters.  HFAM does offer each presenter a complementary full-registration.

HFAM will provide the following:

  • Standard LCD projector
  • Screen
  • Standard Laptop
  • Speakers Table
  • AV Table
  • Podium w/wired microphone
  • 1 wireless (lavaliere) microphone
Power Points and Supporting Documents

Copy of Power Point presentations and supporting documents must be provided two weeks prior to the start of the conference. The materials will be posted to the conference app and to the HFAM/MCAL website.  HFAM/MCAL will not provide printed copies of handouts
